MTB isolates from all positive cultures (using the LJ subculture from a MGIT tube positive for MTB or a subculture from the original LJ culture, if MGIT is unavailable) will be frozen in 7H9 broth and glycerol to preserve them for any repeat or additional microbiology tests that may need to be performed (either in-house or at a central laboratory). It is recommended that at least four aliquots from baseline visits, and two aliquots from subsequent visits, be frozen for each MTB isolate.
